Job Responsibilities
*The successful candidate will be responsible for the monitoring and optimization of the SAGD well pairs, maximize production, minimize Steam Oil Ratio and minimize costs.
*Identify production issues; propose solutions, work with operation staff to ensure resolution and ensure quality of production data and resolve issues.
*Actively work with the team to improve well performance, limitations and provide ideas how to optimize well productivity and reliability.
*Optimize Gas Lift rates and downhole pumps and provide input to Drilling & Completions.
*Working with Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir, Facilities and Field Operations to meet the production and financial targets in your area.
*Utilize knowledge of SAGD and wellbore hydraulics to optimize future completions.
*Consult with Production Accounting and Capital Accounting when needed
*Work with Reservoir & Operational matter to alleviate potential problems while maximizing production
Experience and Qualifications
*BSC in Engineering.
*Member of / or ability to register with APEGGA as a Professional.
*3+ years thermal operations experience.
*Strong understanding of SAGD recovery process.
*Reservoir engineering experience in Thermal and Field Production are strong assets.
*Experience in ALT.
*Ability to perform fluid hydraulic calculations.
*Strong Problem Solving/Analytical skills and computer Skills.
