San Francisco Wedding Trends And Cool New Wedding-Inspired ...

I recently attended the Modern Luxury Weddings show held at The Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco. As I strolled?among?the 80 wedding vendors that filled the ornate ballrooms, I noticed some strong trends happening in the Bay Area wedding industry. I also noticed the way today?s modern DIY bride manages her prospective wedding has changed a great deal since I planned my own wedding five years ago.

The disposable cameras of yesteryear have been replaced with wedding apps that allow guests to check in or sign up at weddings to share their pictures with fellow guests. The headache of multiple CDs are over with photo-sharing services like Wedding Snap which instantly collects all the guest?s photos into one online album.

There is a growing number of wedding Apps now available on the iPhone and iPad to help brides manage their budget, guest lists, to do lists and much more. The recently launched I Do Venues app is designed to make the process of finding the perfect wedding venue an easier one. It offers a comprehensive directory designed to search for the best wedding venues in California.

The modern bride relies on wedding blogs to find inspiration and DIY tips on how to recreate certain design aspects themselves, rather than investing in expensive wedding magazines that are overrun by advertising. The I Do Venues? daily blog and app offers brides the opportunity to see various venues showcased in a variety of themes, color palettes and design styles alongside inspirational photo galleries. Co-founder Gloria Atherstone explains: ?I Do Venues? mission is to connect brides with the best weddings venues and vendors California has to offer.?

The photo booth is growing in popularity at weddings as it offers a fun and interactive way to capture guests having fun and gives them a great memento to take home with them. There were a large number of them at the show but I particularly liked The Original Traveling Photo Booth for the personalized add-ons they offered including: thank you cards, photo strip collage and a great photo strip guest book.

Did you know that you can have a tired wedding cake made of cake pops? Cake pops are a trendy feature at weddings; whether you choose to have them as pretty favors on the tables or add a wow factor to a color coordinated dessert table. Lauren Martin the proprietor of Sweet Lauren Cakes showed us how versatile cake pops are, and can be made to any color palette or theme.

If a big and expensive wedding isn?t your cup of tea, then perhaps you want to join a growing number of people who chose elope instead. The company elopeinwinecountry offers couples an all-inclusive and affordable alternative by providing a unique, romantic garden setting, professional photography and personalized ceremony in the heart of the wine country.

Whether you chose to have a big blow out or a more intimate gathering for your wedding, there are so many tools available to make the planning process stress-free. Easy-to-use technology to share your memories of the day with guests who could or couldn?t attend and plenty of options to rival wedding traditions.

Whatever you decide, just make sure to take time on the day to be in the moment with the person who will be by your side for better or worse?even if it?s a quick smooch in the photo booth.
