Former WWE Superstar and two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger appeared on Tuesday night's episode of "Hardcore Pawn" on TruTV, selling several pieces of his signature ring gear to raise money for the non-profit organization "World Wrestling Outreach."
The memorabilia Luger sold at the American Jewelry and Loan, a family-owned pawn store in Detroit, included The Total Package's rhinestone-studded lightning robe, and netted a total price tag of $3,500 for all of the items.
Luger was instantly recognized by Les and Seth Gold as soon as he stepped into the store, as both of them were professional wrestling fans growing up. Shop owner Les even got to try on Luger's black-and-silver robe before making an initial offer of $2,500 for the items. After a little back-and-forth negotiating, Les agreed to The Total Package's requested price tag of $3,500 because it was for charity.
"Well, I personally am very excited. I didn't know what to expect," Luger said during his appearance on the show. "I was getting in there with these master negotiators. On behalf of a good cause, they went a little soft on us, and I'm very thankful."
Lex's autographed memorabilia, including the rhinestone-studded robe, have been posted on American Jewelry and Loan's website with a sale price of $7,499.99.
